General Summary

The Business Development Manager will be working collaboratively with the rest of our team, you will build and execute strategy within a given geography to find and develop new business opportunities within industry verticals and within new and existing customers. The goal of this role is to aggressively pursue additional revenue and market share with the services, solutions, and products that we provide.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop business development strategy within a given geography.
• Develop new customer accounts; focuses on account planning, top key accounts, and facilities.
• Learn industries and customer accounts, understanding key challenges and desired business outcomes.
• Utilize all available resources in the pursuit of new revenue and improved profitability.
• Establishes E-Store accounts including necessary pricing for new and existing accounts.
• Responsible for growing revenue and margin on an annual basis.
• Ensure the successful execution of sales initiatives to assigned accounts, including those initiated by McMc and our vendor partners.
• Identify opportunities to add-on or up-sell products to customers that may benefit the customer and suggests alternative products when a customers requested product is not available.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Bachelors degree in a business-related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years of distributor-based business development, sales, and/or customer service experience required
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and be effective in a team environment.
• Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication.
• Product knowledge of the key vendors delivered by McNaughton-McKay.
• Computer skills; intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and business system knowledge required.
• Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to plan and execute sales strategies efficiently and productively.
• Demonstrated history of self-motivation and self-management.
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers, suppliers, and fellow employees.
